Introduction

Macquarie University Art Gallery has been in operation since 1999, focusing on providing the campus and local community with a changing exhibition program.

Macquarie's extensive collection of major post-1960s Australian artworks includes museum-quality art on loan from private collectors, as well as representative works by leading artists which have been purchased by, or donated to, the University. The collection also includes a wide-ranging selection of superb indigenous artworks.

Directions

By Car

When visiting the art gallery, we recommend you park in the N3 Carpark next to the gym, accessible by turning from Culloden Road into Gymnasium Drive, and then first left. This carpark is free for the first 2 hours, and after 8pm. However please remember to take a ticket as RTA parking restrictions apply and a pay and display ticket system is active.

Entry off Epping Road, Herring Road and Talavera Road will lead you to a choice of other carparks on campus. All carparks have ticketing machines in them and at the main entrances to campus.

Please note that casual parking is now only available in the car parks marked in yellow on the campus map.

By Bus/Train/Bicycle/On foot

Several bus routes travel through campus. The Government buses pass through regularly from the city #288 and #290 and from Epping Station #292 and #294.
